Tell us about how students prepared for this activity? Students met at coalition meeting to help plan and organize the event. Students also came a day early to the coalition office to make a banner saying "HANDS OFF DRUGS" for the youth at the event to put their hand print on. Students helped set up and take down for the event, and worked at various booths or in the concessions during the event. How were students involved and impacted? Clay County SADD Club students helped with the Clay County Anti-Drug Coalition's annual Health and Safety Day. A few students helped with the Ollie the Otter booth, a few helped with the large "HANDS OFF DRUGS" banner, concessions, the coalition's booth handing out school supplies and much more. In attendance for the day were organizations such as TN Trucker's Association, Boating Under the Influence water safety simulator, local police and emergency personnel, Vanderbilt Helicoptor, Electric company displaying water/electricity safety, Standing Stone State Park snake safety, DCS, Health Department, local hospital, Stonecom Communications, and others. Most of the organizations also brought school supplies to give away to the youth of the community. What were the best components about this activity? This is one of our big events hosted by the Clay County Anti-Drug Coalition and our SADD Club students!
